Audi has commenced production of the A2 e-tron at its Ingolstadt plant in Germany, marking the return of the A2 nameplate after 21 years. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB) platform, the compact electric supermini features a drag coefficient of 0.24 and utilizes advanced assembly methods including “string-of-pearls” logistics, robotic wheel assembly, and “Edge Cloud 4 Production” industrial cloud management.

Following the start of production, Audi has launched the model in markets such as Germany and Slovenia, with vehicle configurators now active. In Slovenia, the entry-level Business trim starts at €34,840, while more highly equipped versions are priced at €38,850. In Germany, the base model starts at €38,200.

The lineup offers various battery capacities and power outputs. The base 52 kWh model provides 125 kW of power and up to 423 km of range (WLTP). Higher configurations include a 61 kWh battery (515 km range) and an 84 kWh option providing up to 646 km of range with 170 kW of power. The most powerful version delivers 240 kW with a range of up to 630 km. All models utilize rear-wheel drive and support charging speeds up to 183 kW on high-capacity versions. Standard interior features include an 11.9-inch instrument display and a 12.8-inch central screen.
