Audi’s transition from the Sauber-operated team to a full Formula 1 works operation has shown progress in both technical execution and organizational structure.

Technical improvements have been particularly evident in pit stop performance. Following the recruitment of former Red Bull Racing chief mechanic Lee Stevenson, the team moved past previous issues with tire changes and wheel nut failures—which had previously resulted in significant delays and fines—to achieve some of the fastest stops on the grid, including a 2.30-second stop at Zandvoort.

Beyond visible race results, team leadership has emphasized internal evolution. Mattia Binotto noted that while the team is currently focused on consolidating its position as a midfield points contender, the most substantial progress is occurring in team culture and attitude. Binotto characterized the shift from a small private team to a works operation as a gradual process, aiming for title contention by 2030.
