Audio-Technica has announced the release of the ATH-AL5NC, the company’s first wireless open-back headphones. The device features 53mm drivers and supports high-resolution audio via the LDAC codec, as well as AAC and SBC. 

To manage the sound leakage typical of open-back designs, the headphones include active noise reduction to mitigate background hums and a “sound leakage reduction mode” for shared environments. Technical specifications include up to 75 hours of battery life in wireless mode, Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, and a lightweight 240g design intended to reduce ear fatigue.
