# Augsburg B17 bridge reinforcement

To address static deficiencies identified during routine inspections, the city of Augsburg is performing structural reinforcement on the B17 Fabrikkanalbrücke. The project involves concreting new reinforcement elements onto the underside of the bridge to increase its load-bearing capacity. 

Because the installation and curing process requires the structure to remain free from vibration, the B17 is undergoing temporary full closures. Work is being conducted sequentially on the separate bridge structures. The initial phase of closures, affecting traffic heading toward Landsberg, was scheduled to begin on October 2.
