Following a standout Ranji Trophy season where he earned player of the tournament honors with 60 wickets, Jammu and Kashmir seamer Auqib Nabi received his maiden One-Day International call-up for India’s series against the West Indies.

His selection initially drew scrutiny from former cricketer Aakash Chopra, who questioned Nabi’s white-ball readiness and bowling pace, noting his lack of wickets during the 2026 IPL with the Delhi Capitals.

Despite these concerns, Nabi made his international debut on September 30 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. He has since continued his professional momentum, maintaining domestic form in the 2026-27 Ranji Trophy and celebrating his recent milestones.
