Austin FC’s performance in the MLS Western Conference has fluctuated significantly during the latter part of the season. In mid-September, the club was on a six-match unbeaten run, placing them back in contention for a playoff spot following a victory over Vancouver.

However, this momentum shifted by mid-October. A 4-1 defeat to Nashville SC ended Austin FC’s eight-game unbeaten streak, dropping the club to 13th place in the conference. As the campaign enters its final six matches, the team is attempting to recover to reach the wild-card qualification zone.
