A study conducted by Ipsos for Billa Reisen indicates that 86 percent of Austrians are participating in summer vacations, with demand reaching 95 percent among young adults aged 20 to 29. 

While 36 percent of respondents prefer staying within Austria, 49 percent are spending their primary summer holiday abroad. Key decision factors for travelers include weather and climate (41 percent) and price (39 percent). 

Greece is the leading international destination for Austrians, followed by Turkey and Spain. Recent trends show significant growth in popularity and revenue for Bulgaria and Egypt. Mark Tantz, CEO of DERTOUR Austria, observed that travelers typically book in advance, travel in family-oriented groups, and favor established destinations.
