Actors Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have provided early insights into the upcoming film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Mackie addressed the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, clarifying that while Rogers is returning, Mackie’s character, Sam Wilson, remains the current Captain America. Stan noted that Marvel Studios utilized intense security and isolation during filming in England to prevent leaks regarding Evans’ involvement.

Subsequent promotional footage released during the World Series confirmed the return of Steve Rogers. The preview shows Rogers interacting with Thor, Sam Wilson, and Scott Lang, including a scene referencing Rogers’ ability to wield Mjolnir. While the footage confirms the character's presence, Marvel Studios has not officially explained how Rogers returns following the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. This has led to fan speculation that the character might actually be Loki in disguise.
