Developments: 7. The Avia Świdnik football team experienced mixed results in early September 2026. The club achieved a significant victory in the first round of the Polish Cup, defeating Wieczysta Kraków 3-1. However, this success did not translate to league performance. The team subsequently suffered a 0-1 defeat against Rekord Bielsko-Biała in the Betclic II Liga, where Jakub Rys scored the decisive goal in the 35th minute. Following these results, coach Wojciech Szacoń and defender Damian Zbozień highlighted the necessity for mental resilience as the squad attempts to overcome a difficult run in league play. On September 18, the team played to a draw against Sokoła Kleczew. Despite Avia Świdnik dominating possession, shots, and corner kicks, Sokoła Kleczew took an early lead through a counterattack finished by Kacper Śpiewak in the 26th minute, followed by a goal from Filip Adamski. Remeniuk eventually scored in the second half to narrow the deficit, and the match concluded with a late equalizer in the 87th minute. On October 3, Avia Świdnik secured a 1-1 draw against Resovia in Rzeszów. Despite Damian Zbozień receiving a red card in the 40th minute, Grzegorz Aftyka equalized in the 77th minute. On October 9, Avia Świdnik secured a victory against Świt Szczecin, marking their first win in over two months via a 22nd-minute goal from Kacper Wełniak. Leading into mid-October, the team entered a match against Śląsk II Wrocław following a period of relative stability, having recorded two wins, two draws, and one loss in their previous five matches. However, this momentum stalled on October 24, when Znicz Pruszków defeated Avia Świdnik 2-0 at home. Vladyslav Okhronchuk scored in the 11th minute, and Tymon Proczek added a second in stoppage time. Despite efforts from Assuncao and Remeniuk, Avia Świdnik failed to capitalize on their opportunities. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Betclic II Liga: Znicz Pruszków extends lead as GKS Tychy draws Znicz Pruszków extends its lead in the Betclic II Liga with a 2-0 win over Avia Świdnik, while vice-leader GKS Tychy drew 0-0 against Podhale Nowy Targ. 12 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/znicz-pruszkw-faces-avia-widnik-in-polish-2-liga-match ### 2026-10-17: Avia Świdnik to face Śląsk II Wrocław in Polish 2.
