Aydınspor, a football club in the Aydın Super Amateur League, faced severe financial difficulties in late 2026. On October 5, a solidarity night organized by fans to raise funds for the club resulted in lower than expected attendance and revenue, totaling between 120,000 and 160,000 TL.

Following the failure to secure sufficient financial and administrative support, the club announced on October 17 that it would withdraw from league matches for the current season. This decision, made nine days before the league's start, forced the club to disband its squad and technical staff. As a consequence, Aydınspor faces relegation to the Aydın 1. Amateur League and will be ineligible for promotion next season, leading officials to estimate a loss of three sporting seasons.
