# Bac Ninh high school exam cheating scandal

Following allegations of cheating at Luong Tai High School during the 2026 high school graduation exam, the Bac Ninh Department of Education and Training launched an investigation into academic misconduct. Initial reports suggested that H. P. N., the province’s top scorer for the D01 subject group, received assistance from proctors for Mathematics and English exams.

Subsequent investigations confirmed that H. P. N. received unauthorized assistance from a proctor during the Mathematics portion of the exam, leading authorities to cancel the student’s graduation results on August 25. 

Additionally, officials determined that another student, N. T. T. N., had copied Mathematics answers from H. P. N. As a result, N. T. T. N.’s Mathematics score was reduced by 50%, falling from 9.5 to 4.75. Authorities are continuing to determine appropriate measures for the exam proctor involved in the incident.
