Universal Pictures announced a one-day theatrical re-release of the 1985 film ‘Back to the Future’ for October 21, 2026. This date, referred to by fans as ‘Future Day’, coincides with the date Marty McFly travels to in the franchise’s sequel.

The re-release includes standard formats and premium large-screen options such as 4DX and D-Box, which provide sensory experiences through motion-enabled seating and environmental effects.
