The regional art season continued to expand through August 2026. In Croatia, new photography and multimedia exhibitions opened in Split, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb. In Zagreb, the Museum of Arts and Crafts (MUO) Gallery hosted ‘Pola trenutka života’ by Vjeran Juhas, while Damir Vrdoljak Mandeta presented ‘Šetnja kroz snove’ (A Walk Through Dreams) at the Kranjčar Gallery, using maritime-inspired sculptures and paintings to support humanitarian causes. In Dubrovnik, Nives Sertić’s ‘Pejzaži: Uranjanje’ examined the human-nature relationship, and Deša Vlahutin contributed ‘Innocence Regained’ to the ‘Nomadia’ exhibition on Lopud.

In Serbia, photographer Branislav Brajan Rašić presented a retrospective at Silos 1 in Belgrade as part of the ‘Pod sjajem zvezda 2026’ program, showcasing his work with global music icons.

Montenegro saw diverse cultural activity, including Maša Seničić’s ‘Hotel Inex: Nakon Zlatne obale’ in Bar, which uses archival documents and audio-visual recordings to explore the memory of a former Yugoslav tourist complex. Additionally, Tamara Anđus opened ‘Terra. Mare’ at The Chedi Luštica Bay, exploring the duality of land and sea.

Regional activity remained high in North Macedonia, where Amer Hadžić’s ‘Whatever’ exhibition continued at the Museum Gallery Kavadarci. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Museum of Sarajevo maintained the ‘Mirisi Baščaršije’ exhibition, and the Museum of Islamic Culture and Art prepared for its September 4 opening. Major festivals, including Zagreb’s ‘Okolo’, Zadar’s Monoplay, and Mostar’s 15th Street Arts Festival, remained central to the season’s momentum.
