The leadership of the Banda Aceh police precinct underwent a transition following an internal investigation into former chief Kombes Pol. Andi Kirana and narcotics research chief AKP Muhammad Jabir. During the examination process, Kombes Pol. Teguh Priyambodo Nugroho was appointed as acting police chief. By late August 2026, Nugroho was officially appointed as the Chief of Polresta Banda Aceh, succeeding Kirana, who was transferred to the Pamen Yanma Polri position.
