Banesco has implemented various initiatives involving its point-of-sale (POS) terminals in Venezuela. In August, the bank launched a promotion in partnership with Nativa Pago, offering several terminal models to merchants at various price points, with transactions calculated using the official Banco Central de Venezuela exchange rate.

Separately, the bank is utilizing its POS network for the ‘Transacciones con propósito’ initiative to provide relief following a double earthquake on June 24. Through this program, Banesco contributes Bs. 1.00 for every transaction processed through its terminals. Following donations made in July to hospitals and Fundana, the August funds are designated for educational institutions, including Fe y Alegría and the Asociación Venezolana de Educación Católica (AVEC).
