Law enforcement agencies in Argentina, Mexico, and Chile continue to conduct operations to disrupt bank card fraud.

In Mexico, authorities in Durango arrested three individuals—one man and two women—after bank staff reported suspicious activity. The group was found with 85 payroll cards from a different financial institution, 73 withdrawal receipts, and 87,743 pesos in cash. The suspects claimed they were acting as lenders who held cards to guarantee debt repayment.

In Monterrey, police arrested two Venezuelan nationals following a high-speed pursuit. During a search of their vehicle, officers discovered 35 bank cards and seven packets of a green leafy substance resembling marijuana. Investigators have linked the men to ATM distraction thefts in the city center, where perpetrators offer fraudulent assistance to steal or swap cards.

In Chile, a 54-year-old Peruvian national, Víctor Delfín Loza Oyola, was placed in pretrial detention for allegedly leading a criminal organization in Iquique and Alto Hospicio. The group specialized in ‘card swapping’ at ATMs, targeting victims aged 40 to 80 by offering fraudulent assistance during technical difficulties. While the leader swapped the cards, accomplices observed security codes to facilitate unauthorized transactions. Police recovered 456,100 pesos in cash and nine bank cards, many with the owners' names erased.

In Neuquén, Argentina, police previously detained two suspects in the Melipal neighborhood for allegedly using bank cards stolen from a vehicle, identified through security camera footage.
