The sixth edition of the Barolo en Primeur charity auction, held at the Castello di Grinzane Cavour, raised a record 1,140,500 euros. Managed by Christie’s Italia director Cristiano De Lorenzo, the event attracted international interest from London and New York.

Auction lots included 14 barriques of 2025 Barolo Gustava, municipal lots donated by 39 wineries, and 31 historic bottles dating back to 1996. Since its inception in 2021, the initiative has raised a total of 5,674,800 euros to support over 120 social, healthcare, educational, and cultural projects.

Proceeds from this year’s auction are designated to support seasonal vineyard workers through initiatives such as the Accademia della Vigna and a temporary nocturnal reception service in Alba for workers lacking stable housing. Winners are scheduled to receive their bottles in 2029.
