Baseball activities in Japan range from community engagement to discussions on competitive structures. Scheduled events include a youth-focused day in Nagano featuring Sadaharu Oh and a community clinic in Niiza City led by Ryota Igarashi.

In the high school sector, the 2026 Aomori National Sports Festival will offer live streaming of hardball and softball competitions. Meanwhile, former NPB pitcher Shunsuke Watanabe has called for reforms to the tournament system, arguing that the single-elimination format used for Koshien may hinder player development compared to a league-style structure.
