The Batman region is undergoing various development projects focused on agriculture and urban infrastructure. In October 2026, the GAP Regional Development Administration launched a grant program providing 50 percent coverage for greenhouse and under-cover agriculture investments to support year-round vegetable production.

Simultaneously, the ‘Blue Green Batman’ project commenced its first phase along the Batman River. Led by Governor Ekrem Canalp, the initiative aims to convert 2,550 decares of land into urban parks and social spaces. The first phase established a 12-kilometer walking route, with subsequent phases planned to cover additional land and integrate the river's opposite bank by relocating industrial facilities.
