The DIY retailer Bauhaus is expanding its retail footprint in Europe, specifically within Sweden and Germany.

In Sweden, the company opened an 11,000 m2 specialist center in Östersund, bringing its total Swedish store count to 25. The new facility includes a dedicated sauna section and a 1,100 m2 ‘Stadtgarten’ for garden and terrace products.

In Germany, Bauhaus has returned to Gelsenkirchen after nearly 20 years with the reopening of a location on Grothusstraße. The facility covers more than 13,000 square meters and offers over 50,000 products to serve private customers and professional tradespeople in the Ruhr region. To mark the opening, the retailer offered a limited edition Navimow i2 AWD robotic lawnmower featuring a special FC Schalke 04 design. This follows a broader premium partnership between Bauhaus and the football club FC Schalke 04 that runs until 2028.
