In Bayonne, New Jersey, a couple has been charged with aggravated manslaughter and child endangerment following the death of their 2-month-old son. 

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the infant, who suffered head injuries on March 25, 2026, died at University Hospital in Newark. A medical examiner identified the cause of death as complications from blunt force injuries to the head. 

Jason Megaro, 27, and Jenae Vasquez, 20, were apprehended in Pennsylvania and New York, respectively, and remain in custody pending extradition.
