The BBC is releasing a six-part television adaptation of Eric Morecambe’s 1982 children’s novel, ‘The Reluctant Vampire’. The series, written and adapted by Neil and Rob Gibbons, expands the original stories into a supernatural comedy set in a gothic castle.

The plot follows Valentine, a fifteen-year-old boy played by Lenny Rush, who discovers he is actually human rather than a vampire, despite his father being the vampire king. To ensure his survival, he must keep this secret from his family. The cast includes Sian Clifford, Tom Davis, and Gabriel Nagy.
