The process for forming the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) junior men’s selection committee began with several applicants seeking positions on the five-member panel. Among the candidates was former international cricketer Praveen Kumar, who previously served as a coach and selector for the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association.

Following interviews and screenings conducted by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), Parvinder Awana was appointed as the chairman of the committee. He is joined by members Krishna Das, Rakesh Patel, and R Arjun Yadav, with a fifth member expected to be announced by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia.
