Ahead of the Bendigo Cup final, kennelmates Impetuously and Cumulate were positioned as top contenders after both secured heat victories from box one. Trainer John Barbara expressed concerns regarding the draw, noting that Impetuously’s tendency to cut hard left could potentially impact Cumulate during the race.

In the final, Impetuously secured a victory by a nose with a time of 23.71 seconds, marking the largest win of trainer John Barbara’s career. The win brought the greyhound’s record to 10 wins from 18 starts. Veteran Matt Loch, managed by Michelle Mallia, finished in fourth place.
