The BFI London Film Festival has progressed through various stages of programming and competition announcements. Earlier reports highlighted the 64th festival in 2020, which featured works such as Steve McQueen’s ‘Mangrove’ and Chloe Zhao’s ‘Nomadland’. 

More recently, the 70th BFI London Film Festival announced its Official Competition lineup. Ten films from diverse nations—including the UK, Ireland, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, and Poland—have been selected to compete for the Best Film Award.
