The initial weeks of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 have been marked by contestant departures and rule violations. During the first week, Gayathri Suresh was evicted on Day 2, followed by Dhanya Kaali on Day 6. Additionally, contestant Gautham Sasi requested to quit the show due to difficulties adjusting to the house environment.

In the second week, the production cancelled luxury points and a weekly task after contestants ignored safety warnings during a food kit preparation task, specifically by placing hands and heads into a conveyor belt area. The house leadership also shifted after Eldho George relinquished his position to facilitate the re-entry of Gayathri Suresh. Following this change, Rahul Easwar assumed the role of house leader and subsequently nominated Shijin, Rajesh, and Mridula for eviction. During this period, it was also revealed that Mridula had secretly taken currency from another contestant, Anjali.

In a major development, a mass eviction resulted in the simultaneous exit of eight contestants: Rakesh Jacob, Loletta Loryne Rodrigues, Gayathri Suresh, Sumesh Chandran, Mridula Vijay, RJ Anjali, Jaseela Parveen, and Sreelakshmi Arackal. This group included both celebrities and commoner contestants from the Agnipareeksha selection process. Notably, Gayathri Suresh was evicted for a second time. Amidst these departures, wildcard contestant Tashi Raj informed Mridula Vijai of a crush on Neha Fathima, noting that the situation had caused him to lose focus and created tension regarding his competition standing.
