The 8th Bilimfest Kayseri is being held from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi. Organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with TÜBİTAK and led by the Kayseri Science Center, the festival aims to promote science, technology, innovation, and aviation.

The event features approximately 200 activities across eight themes, targeting hundreds of thousands of visitors. Key attractions include the exhibition of Hürjet, Turkey’s first indigenous turbofan-powered jet trainer and light attack aircraft developed by TUSAŞ. Aerial demonstrations include performances by the Türk Yıldızları and Çelik Kanatlar, alongside THK balloon and paramotor shows.

During the festival, children have participated in workshops focused on Turkish national defense technologies. Representatives from Askerî Fabrika ve Tersane İşletme A.Ş. (ASFAT) and Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ) hosted educational stands where participants built models of the KAAN, Turkey’s first national 5th generation combat aircraft, and the Mechanical Mine Clearing Equipment (MEMATT). ASFAT officials noted that these workshops aim to teach children about the functions and applications of domestic technologies, which included the introduction of the ‘Mavi Vatan Defense Game’.
