Billionaire investor Bill Ackman has expressed strong support for the Israeli economy, describing the nation as ‘Silicon Valley as a country’ due to its high concentration of intellectual property and talent. Speaking at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Ackman highlighted Israel’s low inflation, resilient currency, and significant growth in foreign direct investment, which rose 78 percent in 2025. However, Ackman has also voiced political concerns regarding the composition of the Israeli government. He argued that far-right ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich should be excluded from future coalitions, claiming their actions have caused ‘enormous reputational damage’ to the country. Ackman suggested that excluding these figures could help Israel rebuild international credibility and improve diplomatic relations, particularly with the United States. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-25: Bill Ackman calls for exclusion of Ben-Gvir and Smotrich from Israeli government Billionaire Bill Ackman argues that excluding far-right ministers Ben-Gvir and Smotrich from Israel's next government is essential to repairing the country's international reputation and credibility. 8 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bill-ackman-calls-for-exclusion-of-ben-gvir-and-smotrich-from-israeli-government ### 2026-10-22: Bill Ackman praises Israel as a highly innovative economy Investor Bill Ackman describes Israel as one of the world's most innovative economies, citing high intellectual property per capita and strong growth prospects despite geopolitical challenges. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/bill-ackman-praises-israel-as-a-highly-innovative-economy --- Cite as: Bill Ackman views on Israeli economy and politics.
