Bill Belichick, head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels, has addressed rumors regarding his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, and her alleged involvement in the university football program. In interviews with the Wall Street Journal, Belichick dismissed claims that Hudson is acting as the team’s general manager, labeling such reports as “ridiculous” and a “flat-out lie.”

Belichick clarified that while Hudson has been present at practices and was included in certain email communications, these requests were intended to coordinate his personal appearances and external business commitments, such as television, radio, and book releases. He emphasized that her responsibilities are entirely separate from his coaching duties and university business. The University of North Carolina has stated that Hudson is not an employee of the university or Carolina Athletics, though she is permitted at football facilities.

Following a 28-20 loss to Clemson that brought North Carolina’s record to 2-1, Belichick’s media presence has also come under scrutiny. During a sideline interview with ESPN’s Stormy Buonantony, Belichick provided curt responses regarding team discipline, stating there were “too many” penalties.

During a recent bye week, Belichick was seen scouting high school prospects in Maryland, attending a game between Archbishop Spalding and Gilman. He was accompanied by Hudson during the recruiting trip. This activity follows recent internal changes within the program, including the resignations of general manager Mike Lombardi and Belichick’s son, Steve Belichick. On September 25, the couple was observed in the press box at the Archbishop Spalding versus Gilman game. Hudson drew social media attention for wearing a cap featuring the word ‘Dynasty,’ a reference to Belichick’s six Super Bowl titles.
