Billy Corgan, frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins, has publicly declared his Christian faith. During an appearance on the podcast ‘The Magnificent Others’ with Michael Sweet, Corgan stated his belief in Jesus and expressed an intention to incorporate discussions of God into his music.

Corgan described the topic of religion as the ‘third rail of rock and roll,’ acknowledging the social and commercial risks associated with discussing faith in the industry. He noted that after being raised Catholic and leaving the church at age eight, he felt that concealing his religious convictions would be a contradiction to his identity as an artist.
