Black History Month 2026 in the United Kingdom is being observed under the theme ‘Honouring Our Communities’, focusing on the contributions of Black individuals to British life.

Early commemorations included a feature by The Football Association (FA) profiling ten Black pioneers in English football, such as Arthur Wharton and Jack Leslie, to highlight historical milestones in the sport.

Other organizations are also participating in the month's activities. The Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service announced involvement in an art, culture, and business exhibition in Milton Keynes to promote diversity and community engagement. Additionally, the support organization Refuge is using the period to reflect on anti-racist and intersectional approaches, emphasizing the need for culturally competent support for Black women, children, and families.
