Recent incidents involving boa constrictors have required intervention by local authorities in Brazil and Ecuador.

In Campo Belo, Minas Gerais, the Military Firefighters Corps (CBMMG) rescued a boa constrictor measuring over 1.5 meters from a passenger car engine. The animal was safely captured using specialized equipment and subsequently released into a compatible forested area.

In Riobamba, Ecuador, officers from the Environmental Protection Unit (UPMA) responded to a citizen report via the ECU 911 emergency line to rescue a Boa imperator. The reptile was transferred to the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Ecological Transition (MAATE) for veterinary assessment to determine if it should be released or moved to a management center.
