Boca Juniors has agreed to the permanent transfer of the 25-year-old to Atlas of Guadalajara for a total of $6 million. The deal involves the sale of 100% of the player’s economic rights, with payments structured in five installments through December 2027. As Boca Juniors holds 80% of the rights and Unión de Santa Fe holds 20%, the former club is expected to receive approximately $4.8 million, while Unión will receive $1.2 million. Zenón is expected to sign a four-year contract, fulfilling a request from Atlas manager Hernán Crespo; he must now undergo medical examinations in Mexico.

While Atlas initially proposed a loan with an option to buy, Boca Juniors insisted on a permanent sale. During his tenure at Boca, Zenón appeared in 92 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists. To accommodate Zenón’s arrival under Liga MX foreign player limits, Atlas may need to release an existing foreign player, with defender Rodrigo Schlegel cited as a potential candidate for departure.
