Boeing reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its 200th 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF). The aircraft, named ‘Florence’ and registered as ZK-TXH, was delivered to Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management (BBAM) and leased to Texel Air Australasia.

The delivery was celebrated at Auckland Airport on October 10. Since the program’s launch in 2016, the BCF initiative has focused on repurposing retired passenger aircraft for cargo operations. The program currently holds more than 250 orders and commitments, representing approximately 4% of the total 737-800 commercial units produced.

Texel Air has utilized this addition to expand its New Zealand-based fleet, which now includes three aircraft following a NZ$95 million capital investment. The airline intends to use the new freighter to provide charter services and increase domestic and international freight connectivity.
