Construction of Bogotá Metro Line 1 has reached 82.33% completion as of late August 2026. The project includes 17 kilometers of viaduct out of a planned 23.9 kilometers, connecting the Bosa Workshop Depot to Calle 72 on Avenida Caracas.

Technical progress includes the completion of a 215-meter railway bridge at the intersection of Avenida Caracas and Calle 26. Operational testing is currently in progress, with two trains conducting simultaneous runs to evaluate signaling, speed control, and wireless communication systems. Additionally, the city has received 17 of the 30 planned six-car trains for the commercial fleet.
