Yeongcheon City is finalizing preparations for the 23rd Bohyeonsan Starlight Festival, which is scheduled to take place from October 9 to 11 near the Bohyeonsan Astronomical Science Museum.

Organizers are focusing on enhancing hands-on experiences to reinforce the event’s identity as an astronomy and science festival. Planned improvements include expanding VR experience zones and converting traditional sales booths into interactive participation stations. To improve visitor amenities, the city will introduce a ‘Starlight Dumpling Zone’ featuring local specialties, alongside food trucks and expanded rest areas.

The festival aims to be a stay-over event, combining celestial observations and constellation experiences with various performances and exhibitions. Mayor Kim Byeong-sam has stated that safety remains the top priority for the program.
