Diego Mascarenhas and Edwan Oliveira launched their campaign for the presidency of the Associação Cultural Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso in Manaus under the slate ‘Chapa 2 - Amor Caprichoso’. The campaign focused on building a more united institution and strengthening the organization’s presence while valuing community members.

Following the campaign, Mascarenhas and Oliveira were elected president and vice president, respectively, for the 2027-2029 term. Running under the slate ‘Caprichoso Unido, Forte e Vencedor’, the duo secured 2,079 votes in an election that saw over 5,800 members vote in Manaus and Parintins. They defeated the ‘Renovação e Tradição’ slate. Mascarenhas, an engineer and current vice president, intends to focus on modernizing the Curral Zeca Xibelão and revitalizing the Caprichoso Club to create a year-round venue.
