The 18th edition of Bolivia Lab has been launched in La Paz, bringing together audiovisual professionals and filmmakers from across Ibero-America. The program includes a week of intensive work, masterclasses, and panels designed to provide mentorship on scriptwriting, post-production, and market access for developing film projects.

Director Viviana Saavedra noted that the initiative relies on a “collective spirit” and the exchange of professional experiences. She also highlighted that recent changes within the country’s cultural institutions have created management challenges for this edition. In addition to the laboratory, the Cinemateca Boliviana celebrated its 50th anniversary during the Feria del Libro, featuring international guests and the publication of new cinematic histories.
