Booking Holdings has introduced Vayo, an AI-powered travel assistant designed for proactive journey management. The company plans to invest up to $100 million into the venture.

Rather than functioning as a standard chatbot, Vayo aggregates booking confirmations from a user’s inbox to organize entire itineraries. This allows the system to monitor real-time disruptions, such as flight changes that may impact hotel check-ins, and to identify opportunities like price drops or room availability at sold-out hotels. 

The service is intended to work across all Booking Holdings brands—including Booking.com, Priceline, Agoda, KAYAK, and OpenTable—as well as direct reservations made with airlines and hotels. Vayo is currently in a private, invitation-only beta phase to gather feedback from frequent travelers.
