Bordeaux sports teams experienced mixed results in late 2026. In ice hockey, the Bordeaux Boxers suffered their first home loss of the season in a 5-2 defeat against the Marseille Spartiates, attributed to physical fatigue and inefficiency. However, the Boxers later secured a dominant 8-1 victory over Les Gothiques d’Amiens in Ligue Magnus, ending Amiens’ five-match winning streak.

During the 11th round of the Ligue Magnus at the Mériadeck ice rink, Maxim Lamarche opened the scoring for Bordeaux just over a minute into the match. While Elijiah Barriga equalized for Amiens during a powerplay at the 9-minute mark, Tommy Giroux restored the lead at 15 minutes. The hosts overwhelmed the visitors in a decisive second period, with additional goals from Luke Santerno, Aina Benjamin Rambelo, Enzo Carry, and Jérémy Beaudry. This victory marked the second time the Boxers achieved an 8-1 scoreline at home this season.

In rugby union, Union Bordeaux Bègles (UBB) faced a decisive 38-25 loss against USAP, with players receiving low performance ratings following the match.
