During the voting process in the Brčko District, local officials reported irregularities in Bukvik, where Ilija Jovičić, president of the local community, claimed that voters with Republic of Srpska citizenship were unable to vote because polling stations contained only duplicate ballots for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jovičić argued the process was compromised and requested a postponement of the vote. As the electoral process progressed toward the counting of mail-in, absentee, and diplomatic votes, the distribution of parliamentary mandates for the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NSRS) began to shift. In Electoral Unit 7, the Koalicija za državu (Coalition for the State) increased its mandate count from two to three, impacting the seat allocations for several candidates. Other contests, such as the race between Slađan Jović and Boris Šljivić in Electoral Unit 5, remained extremely close, with outcomes depending on the final processing of all remaining ballots. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-16: Republika Srpska election results shift as mail-in votes are counted Mail-in vote counting is shifting mandate distributions in the Republika Srpska elections, helping the Koalicija za državu secure a third seat and leaving several individual races decided by single votes. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/republika-srpska-election-results-shift-as-mail-in-votes-are-counted ### 2026-10-04: Brčko District elections face voting irregularities in Bukvik Elections in Brčko District face challenges as reports emerge of missing Republic of Srpska ballots in Bukvik, while other stations report smooth voting processes. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/brko-district-elections-face-voting-irregularities-in-bukvik --- Cite as: Bosnia and Herzegovina election developments.
