Emir Spahić, the sporting director for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, has traveled to Barcelona to monitor 19-year-old midfielder Mirza Ćatović. Ćatović, who is currently playing for Barcelona B on loan from VfB Stuttgart, is considered a high-potential talent with comparisons to players such as Rodri.

While Ćatović has previously represented German youth national teams and declined a call-up from Serbia, he is reportedly leaning toward representing Bosnia and Herzegovina. Spahić’s presence at the Johan Cruyff Arena is viewed as a strategic effort to accelerate negotiations regarding the player’s international future.
