The Boston Bruins are navigating contract negotiations with center Pavel Zacha, who is entering the final year of his current deal. While the organization has expressed interest in re-signing the player following a 30-goal season, discussions regarding salary have proven difficult.

Reports indicate that negotiations have stalled, with the Bruins reportedly experiencing ‘sticker shock’ in June regarding Zacha’s salary expectations. As the player enters the final year of a four-year, $19 million contract, he could become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Due to the lack of progress on an extension, Zacha’s name has surfaced in trade discussions. He was previously mentioned during inquiries involving the Columbus Blue Jackets, though no deal was reached. Despite the uncertainty, Zacha remains a versatile asset for the Bruins' lineup.
