Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff has returned to the team roster following a recovery from a significant shoulder injury. After experiencing issues in July that raised concerns about a potential second major surgery on his right anterior capsule, medical imaging in August indicated his shoulder was healing faster than expected, allowing him to avoid surgery.

Following a rehabilitation process and a throwing progression, Woodruff was positioned to join the World Series roster. While the Brewers considered utilizing him as an opener for Game 3 against the Tampa Bay Rays, the team ultimately decided to use Robert Gasser instead. Despite not pitching in a game during the series, Woodruff’s return marks the end of a period of uncertainty regarding his ability to pitch at the Major League level.
