The 17th edition of the Brasil Game Show (BGS) is currently underway at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo, running from October 9 to 12, 2026. As the largest gaming event in Latin America, the convention features 18 unreleased titles available for public testing, including ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’, ‘Final Fantasy Resonance’, and ‘Nintendo Switch Sports Resort’.

Major industry participants include SEGA, Nintendo, Square Enix, Activision, Devolver Digital, and PlayStation. SEGA has introduced accessibility initiatives in partnership with Able Gamers Brasil, providing Braille signage and audio descriptions. Nintendo is hosting a large-scale space featuring the Nintendo Switch 2 and a guest appearance by former Mario voice actor Charles Martinet.

As the event progresses, crowds have filled five pavilions, with high-traffic days seeing sold-out tickets. Attendees are exploring a range of technology, from 1970s-style autorama tracks to neural simulators that allow players to control games via brain activity. Activities include Team Liquid’s tournaments for ‘Valorant’ and ‘Fortnite’, Devolver Digital’s themed room, and various brand giveaways.

A dedicated area for independent studios has highlighted several notable titles. These include ‘Superkid X1’, a 3D cartoon-style arcade soccer game inspired by Brazilian culture; ‘Always With You: Meow & Mystery’, a puzzle-adventure game; and the horror title ‘Fire and Ashes’, which utilizes microphone input as a gameplay mechanic. Additionally, Pixell Games has drawn attention with ‘Arcane Ryft’, a title blending turn-based RPG, roguelike, and monster-collection elements, which featured a demo competition for attendees.
