The Brazilian Ministry of Health has entered into a price registration agreement to acquire 500 portable pocket ultrasound machines, representing a total investment of R$ 12.58 million. 

This initiative supports the Brazilian Agency for Support to the Management of the Unified Health System (AgSUS) and will be distributed to assist the Mais Médicos program, which involves 27,000 doctors across the country. The equipment is intended for use in Basic Health Units (UBS) to facilitate abdominal, obstetric, prenatal, and renal evaluations at the primary care level. According to Minister Alexandre Padilha, the goal is to reduce patient waiting times and the necessity for referrals to hospitals or laboratories.
