Throughout mid-2026, Brazil experienced a widespread surge in LGBTQIA+ visibility through parades, political mobilization, and community-led initiatives. In late June, celebrations included the Goiânia City Council honoring Pride, a drag parade in Porto Alegre, and the “Sonhos Dissidentes” exhibition at the Federal Senate. Rio de Janeiro's 4th Lapa Parade released a manifesto demanding increased political representation and better protections in health, education, and employment.
