Recent developments highlight the success of young dancers from the state of Goiás in prestigious ballet programs and competitions.

In October 2026, Isabella Batista da Cruz was named among 40 children selected for the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil. The selection process in Joinville involved 1,759 candidates who underwent various physical, artistic, and cognitive assessments. Successful students will enter an eight year scholarship program in February 2027.

Later in the month, four students from the Escola do Futuro de Goiás em Artes Basileu França, including Arthur Henrique Bueno, Carlos Eduardo Araújo, Pablo de Paula Ribeiro, and Vinícius Nunes Sousa, were selected for the Prix de Lausanne 2027. The competition is scheduled to take place in Switzerland from January 31 to February 7, 2027.

These students, aged between 15 and 17, are part of a larger group of seven Brazilians chosen for the event. The selection process involved a rigorous evaluation by nine dance professionals who reviewed recordings from 412 candidates representing 36 countries. The school coordinator, Simone Malta, credited these achievements to institutional training and government investment.
