Brazil is hosting several independent film festivals and showcases. The IX Sesc Cinema Showcase in Cataguases, Minas Gerais, is scheduled for late September and early October, featuring 21 films in its National Panorama and 10 youth productions selected from nearly 2,000 entries. 

Additionally, the 9th Jaraguá do Sul Film Festival will run in a hybrid format from October 1 to 3.
