The Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF) issued a ruling under Theme 1308 to secure the national minimum salary floor for teachers within the public education system. 

The decision mandates that the salary floor be respected for all active teachers in public networks, including those on temporary contracts or outsourced roles, as well as permanent staff. To support this, the ruling protects education-linked revenues like FUNDEB. 

Furthermore, the court prohibited public education networks from transferring more than 5% of their permanent teaching staff to other administrative bodies or powers until specific legislation is enacted. This measure is intended to prevent the misuse of teaching positions and ensure the preservation of educational financing.
